Open to all amateur players holding a national licence, subject to the IPPA’s over-subscription criteria
£30 (or £15 for junior players of 16 years of age or under) to include green fees for practice on Friday 9 October, two rounds of 18 holes competition on 10 October, a third and final round of 18 holes competition on 11 October, registration & tournament fees and prizes fund.
Open Champion, 2nd Place, 3rd Place, Senior Open Champion (aged 60 or over), Ladies Open Champion, Junior Open Champion (aged 16 or under)
Should be submitted by e-mail to email@example.com by Friday 11 September (for acceptance according to the rules of the IPPA Regulation Code) or otherwise by no later than Friday 2 October (although acceptance cannot then be guaranteed according to the rules of the IPPA Regulation Code if the competition is oversubscribed). Full payment must be made by 6 p.m. on Friday 9 October at the latest. Payment may be made by card through the golf course, or otherwise in cash.
FORMAT AND CONDITIONS OF COMPETITION
54 holes of strokeplay, played off scratch
A maximum of three clubs are allowed, one of which must be a putter
In the event of a tie, sudden death play-off for the champions prizes
and count back for second & third place prizes
(the player with the lowest score over the last 18 holes,
then 9 holes, then 6 holes, then 3 holes, then 1 hole wins the prize)
Use of a tee is obligatory
Use of a caddie is prohibited
